Anti-Bullying Reads in #youngCanLit

February 27 is marked as Anti-Bullying Day or Pink Shirt Day to commemorate the day two Nova Scotian teens organized friends and schoolmates to wear pink to stand up for a younger boy who had been bullied for wearing a pink polo shirt to school the day before.  Hearing the news of the boy being called a homosexual and threatened with harm, Travis Price and David Shephard of Cambridge, Nova Scotia took to the store and the Internet to create a "sea of pink" as a show of support for the boy against bullying.  It's been six years since that day in 2007 and the tragedy of bullying is still with us: in our schools, in our workplaces, in the public, and on the Internet.  Do your bit to stand up to bullying with these #youngCanLit reads and
